    UNS N07090/Nimonic 90 metallographic structure:

Main strengthening phase of the alloy is γ’-Ni3 (Ti, Al), which is precipitated as square particles of different sizes in the grain. The γ’phase of this shape can also be seen on the grain boundary, and the carbide is in the grain boundary. Precipitation in a discontinuous chain on top.

    UNS N07090/Nimonic 90 process requirements:

    • Nimonic 90 formability. The alloy is prone to internal cracks during forging. Heavy hammer blows and low-temperature chamfering are not allowed. The ingot charging temperature is not higher than 700℃, the final heating temperature is 1150℃±10℃, the opening forging temperature is not lower than 1060℃, and the final forging temperature is not lower than 950℃. The rolling heating temperature is 1160℃, and the final rolling temperature is not lower than 950℃. The cold drawn material should undergo 8%-12% cold deformation after the final intermediate annealing.

    • Nimonic 90 welding performance: The alloy can be inert gas shielded tungsten arc welding and flash butt welding in the solid solution state.

    • Heat treatment process of Nimonic 90 parts The heat treatment process of the parts is carried out according to the heat treatment system of the corresponding material technology standard.

    • Surface treatment process of UNS N07090 /Nimonic 90

    • UNS N07090/Nimonic 90 cutting and grinding performance Nimonic90 has good mechanical processing performance in the solution treatment state. After aging treatment, use hard tools as required

UNS N07090/Nimonic 90 process performance and requirements:

    • Alloy is prone to internal cracks during forging, allowing heavy hammer blows. The ingot charging temperature is not higher than 700℃, the low temperature area is preheated for 20-30 minutes, the final heating temperature is 1150℃-1180℃, the opening forging temperature is not lower than 1050℃, and the final forging temperature is not lower than 950℃.

    • Average grain size of the alloy is closely related to the degree of deformation of the forging and the final forging temperature.

    • Alloy can be welded with inert gas shielded tungsten arc welding and flash butt welding in the solid solution state.
