    CoFe Alloy 1J22

    1J22 is an iron-cobalt-vanadium soft magnetic alloy with high saturation magnetic induction intensity. Among the existing soft magnetic materials, the alloy has the highest saturation magnetic induction intensity (2.4T), high Curie point (980°C), and the largest saturation magnetostriction coefficient ( 60~100×10-6). Due to the high saturation magnetic induction, when making a motor with the same power, the volume can be greatly reduced, and when it is used as an electromagnet, it can generate a large attraction force under the same cross-sectional area. Due to the high Curie point, the alloy can work at a higher temperature where other soft magnetic materials have been completely demagnetized, and maintain good magnetic stability. Due to the large magnetostriction coefficient, it is extremely suitable as a magnetostrictive transducer, with high output energy and high working efficiency. The alloy has a low resistivity (0.27μΩ·m) and is not suitable for use at high frequencies. It is expensive, easy to oxidize, and has poor processability. Adding an appropriate amount of nickel or other elements can improve its processability.

    heat treatment

    Cold-rolled strip samples: heat up to 850-900°C with the furnace, keep warm for 3-6 hours, cool to 750°C at a rate of 50°C/h, then cool to 300°C at a rate of 180-240°C/h and leave the furnace, annealing medium It is hydrogen gas with a dew point not higher than -40°C.
    The sample taken from the forging billet: heat up to 1100°C ± 20°C with the furnace, hold for 3-6 hours, cool to 850°C at a rate of 50-100°C/h, hold for 3 hours, and then cool to 700°C at a rate of 30°C/h. Then cool at a rate of 200°C/h to 300°C and release from the furnace, and the annealing medium is hydrogen with a dew point not higher than -40°C.
    For materials that require higher magnetic induction intensity, lower coercive force, and higher squareness ratio in a lower magnetic field: heat up to 850°C±10°C with the furnace, keep warm for 4 hours, and cool to 750°C at a rate of 50°C/h , hold for 3 hours, then cool to 300°C at a rate of 200°C/h and take out of the furnace, and start to apply a 1240-1600A/m DC magnetic field at the hold (750°C), and the annealing medium is hydrogen with a dew point not higher than -40°C.

    Organizational structure:

    The microstructure of the alloy is a single-phase solid solution of body-centered cubic lattice, and the γα phase transition occurs around 900-930°C. When the temperature is lower than 730°C, ordering occurs, forming a FeCo superstructure, and a disordered α phase transition It is an ordered α’ phase.
