Not required by AMS 5844, but this is guaranteed shear strength.
UNS R30035/MP35N alloy has the following characteristics:
-
MP35N alloy is a non-magnetic nickel-cobalt-chromium-molybdenum alloy with unique ultra-high tensile strength (up to 300ksi[2068MPa], good ductility and toughness and very good corrosion resistance. In addition, the alloy It also shows extraordinary resistance to vulcanization, high temperature oxidation and hydrogen embrittlement.
Corrosion resistance of UNS R30035/MP35N:
-
MP35N has good resistance to sulfuration, high temperature oxidation, crispness, salt spray and most mineral acids. The alloy has excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking under severe environments (-200 to +315) and high strength. The alloy also has extremely high resistance to local corrosion, such as pitting and crevice corrosion.
UNS R30035/MP35N application areas:
-
MP35N alloy can be used for fasteners, springs, non-magnetic components and instrument parts in medical, seawater, oil and gas well, chemical and food processing environments.
