UNS N09925 (Incoloy 925)

Short Introduction:

Incoloy 925/UNSN09925 is an age-hardenable alloy of nickel-chromium-iron. The additions of titanium and aluminum enable it to be age-hardened while molybdenum and copper contents enhance resistance to corrosive media. Designed primarily for applications in the production of gas.

Material grades and equivalents /UNS N09925 (Incoloy 925)

Incoloy 925 (UNS N09925) with the additions of molybdenum, copper, titanium and aluminium is an age hardenable nickel-iron-chromium alloy, providing a combination of high strength and excellent corrosion resistance. Sufficient nickel content provides protection against chloride-ion stress-corrosion cracking whilst in conjuncton with the added molybdenum and copper resistance to reducing chemicals is enjoyed. Molybdenum additionally aids resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion whilst Chromium offers resistance to oxidizing enviroments. During heat treatment a strengthening reaction is caused by the addition of titanium and aluminium.

Application requiring a combination of high strength and corrosion resistance may consider Incoloy 925. Resistance to sulfide stress cracking and stress-corrosion cracking in “sour” crude oil and natural gas enviromments means that it is used for down-hole and surface gas-well components as well as finding uses in marine and pump shafts or high-strength piping systems.

Incoloy 925 Characteristic as below :

This is an age-hardenable alloy of nickel-chromium-iron. The additions of titanium and aluminum enable it to be age-hardened while molybdenum and copper contents enhance resistance to corrosive media. Designed primarily for applications in the production of gas.

    Incoloy 925 Application field:

Incoloy 925 is used in various applications that require a combination of high strength and corrosion resistance. Because the alloy has resistance to sulfide stress cracking and stress corrosion cracking in crude oil and natural gas containing hydrogen sulfide, it is used in downhole and surface gas well components, including tubular products, valves, suspensions, seating joints, tool joints and seals. Spacer. This alloy is also suitable for fasteners, marine shafts, pump shafts and high-strength piping systems.
