Hastelloy C-276 boltsUNS N10276 is a tungsten-containing nickel-chromium-molybdenum-alloy-alloy with low silicon and carbon content. The alloy has excellent corrosion resistance to most corrosive media in both oxidized and reduced states. Excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. Alloys are suitable for various chemical process industries containing oxidizing and reducing media. The higher content of molybdenum and chromium makes the alloy resistant to the corrosion of chloride ions, and the tungsten element also improves its corrosion resistance. Hastelloy-276 is one of only a few materials resistant to the corrosion of wet chlorine, hypochlorite, and chlorine dioxide solutions. The alloy has significant corrosion resistance to high concentrations of chloride solutions (such as ferric chloride and copper chloride).

3. UNS N10276 has the following characteristics

  • In oxidation and reduction state, it has excellent corrosion resistance to most corrosive media.

4. Application areas of C-276 (UNS N10276)

  • It has been widely used in chemical and petrochemical fields, such as components and catalytic systems in contact with chloride-containing organics. This material is especially suitable for use in high temperature, inorganic and organic acids mixed with impurities (such as formic acid and acetic acid), and seawater corrosive environments.
