It has good water corrosion resistance, high mechanical strength, and is easy to form, machine and weld. The properties of Inconel 601 make it a material for a wide range of applications in areas such as heat treatment, chemical processing, pollution control, aerospace and power generation. However, Alloy 601 is not recommended for use in strongly reducing, sulfur-containing environments
