Incoloy926 super stainless steel is a super austenitic stainless steel. It can maintain good corrosion resistance in harsh environments such as high temperature, seawater or flue gas desulfurization equipment. In some occasions, it can be compared with Hastelloy alloy and titanium plate. It is a high-cost stainless steel with high corrosion resistance.

Heat treatment

Incoloy 926 is heat treated to meet the standards for austenitic stainless steels. Usually the following heat treatment conditions (solution heat treatment): 1150 ~ 1200 ℃ water cooling.

Processability

Cold rolling and hot rolling are almost consistent with standard austenitic stainless steels such as SUS304 and 316, but attention should be paid to the characteristics of high strength during cold rolling and hot rolling.

Cutting property

High nickel-containing stainless steels are characterized by cutting properties that are harder than austenitic stainless steels but easier than nickel-based alloys. The cutting tools should be as hard as possible, the transmission speed should be slow, and the cutting depth should be large.

Weldability

Welding is the same as standard austenitic stainless steel. Manual arc welding, argon arc welding and plasma welding can be used. The welding material is recommended to use Hastelloy C-276. No preheating and postheating required.

Characteristics

  1. Because of the high content of chromium and molybdenum, it is excellent in pitting corrosion resistance and crevice corrosion resistance in a high concentration chloride ion environment.

  2. In the environment where SUS329J4L has problems such as pitting corrosion and crevice corrosion, Incoloy 926 can also exert its excellent characteristics.

  3. Because it is an austenitic metallographic structure, it has high ductility, toughness and good processability.

Use

  1. Seawater environment: seawater desalination device, seawater heat exchanger, capacitor electronic tube, etc.

  2. High concentration chloride ion environment: pulp and paper industry, various bleaching devices, etc.

  3. Environments containing high concentrations of salt: resin manufacturing equipment, reaction vessels and piping for chemicals, etc.
